Our economic future is basically a running back hitting the defensive line (the Fed): The faster that running back is going, the more likely he is to maintain momentum. If he falters, he's going to get buried in the backfield.
It's a pretty good guess that today's inflation report will end the debate about whether the Fed will raise rates by 0.5% or 0.75% at the next meeting. With inflation continuing to run this high, it'll continue on the more aggressive path, and the verdict will be 0.75%.
