So glad to have been a part of this 🙌🏼 It’s time to get our voices heard #WeAreEvents#WeMakeEventsHappen
After months of constructive conversations from us at ESSA, @AEVnews & @aeonews with the government, we are delighted to have secured a long-awaited go date for the exhibitions industry, which will be 01/10/20 subject to completion of pilots. Read more - https://t.co/zsMNtr3XhM
#ESSAmembers We are continuing to push for the issuing of the guidance and the 'go date'. Specifically time was spent with officials from BEIS to outline the critical situation we are in, and they along with DCMS are looking at the UK’s International Competitiveness.
This is well worth watching - great to see how other countries have reopened or how they are working to restart their exhibition industries. All with government support, guidance & restart dates - shame that’s not happening in the UK. #UKGovernment#getbritainmeeting
The events industry creates real value for the economy
🔝 6th largest sector in the UK
💰 Worth more than £70 billion
👥 Employs more than 600,000 people
We must work together to ensure it is protected & safeguarded for the future. #ProjectConfidence#eventprofs@RishiSunak
@MartinSLewis Would be nice to hear from them regarding travelling to Mexico on 20 July as border crossings/travel from USA to Mexico are only allowed on 21 July. Seems strange that TUI are still informing me I “will” be going on holiday.??
