I was served this blind during #mundusvini dinner and struggled to identify it: dark berry fruit, soft tannins, subtle oak...

It turned out to have been made - by Edward Kourian, in the background - in Bulgaria from the Rubin, a local 1944 cross of Nebbiolo + Syrah. Fascinating
