Shocking to read an article on CNN where claims comparing alcohol to cigarettes have no scientific backing - sad that @CNN does not check their facts and quotes people with major conflicts of interest without declaring them Check out this article: https://t.co/5tHPofC2XD
Wine journalist Felicity Carter is trying to conduct a survey of how GLP-1 use affects alcohol consumption.
If you are taking GLP-1, please take a look at this survey.
(I have nothing to do with it, but I look forward to the results.)

@cjsnowdon "Gendered colour." I wish the temperance people would learn something about alcohol. "Pink" Prosecco simply means the winemaking process included Pinot Noir, a red grape. Rosé winemaking has a long and honourable history.
@wblakegray How appalling. Alas, it doesn't surprise me. If you see a doctor in Australia, the top of the form will have questions about exactly how much alcohol you "use". I always write, "50 a day when judging".
@amwilson_opera Maybe Joachim Fest's memoir Ich nicht? ("Not I" in the English translation.) It's less about art as joyous awakening and more about how his family used art as a shield against Nazi indoctrination.
@cjsnowdon There are so many logical fallacies in this paper, it's hard to know where to start. They seem to think that marketing is a magic demand creation tool, where consumers have no say.
@FelicityCarter at #wine2wine2025: AI is everywhere in wine. It’s fast and cheap, but without guidance it turns generic. Use it for speed and data: but keep your human voice, expertise, and story at the center. 🍷🌐
@HenryGJeffreys@TheCriticMag Could not agree more. There is a town across the border that has very little going for it, except that it has a French supermarket and it's a WONDERLAND.
