World Blood Donor Day raises awareness for the need for blood and blood products (plasma, red cells, and platelets) around the world. Donated blood make surgeries possible and lessens a disaster's impact.

Our speaker this Thursday is Leah Haynes, the local Community Engagement and Volunteer Manager at Forever Found. A nonprofit providing a path to freedom for at-risk youth and child trafficking victims.

World Environment Day seeks to raise awareness about environmental issues. It hopes to curb climate change, minimize pollution, and create sustainable goals to ensure the Earth’s health. This day aims to reduce human consumption to reduce the impact on the global environment.

Our program this Thursday is an update on Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, which is a worldwide program that has been around since 1971. RYLA teaches leadership skills to youth & award them for their accomplishments. It is a transformative experience for high school students.

This Thursday's speaker is a very special one. Deepa Biswas who started a school for girls in India for vulnerable girls who live in extreme poverty and are often sold into sex slavery. She has helped transform a poor village outside Calcutta with the girls leading the way.
