@efropoker@audavidb wait a second im coming back around on my original thought. you can absolutely manipulate the clock going first, because you have defensive timeouts that you can use depending on how the second possession is shaping out. (i.e. youre up 3 with 1:40 left and its second and 12)
@efropoker@audavidb also we havent seen this but you could also try to score super slow as 1st team. 10 min possession is not that unfathomable. maybe try an intentional holding on your return and pin yourself? (this is a joke. or is it?)
@efropoker@audavidb i don't see why 'rarely 3-3' should be assumed - and why should 0-0 be discounted either? Perfect info is the ONLY adv of going second (2PA and 'extra down' are not 'advantages'), and going 3rd can be huge. and why do you think you can better manipulate clock going 2nd vs. first?
@danorlovsky7 just insanity, what are we doing? and also, a great result on second down but you absolutely need to just take a dive for 0 plays on 2nd, especially at the 1! coaches need to have the courage to do that it just seems like a no brainer
alright @thegridkid looks like we've officially seen it all now - is today the debut ER in the bee? between this, a couple S's in the last year, and the advent of ED and ING a couple years back, what's left?
hey @bburkeESPN gotta imagine yesterday was the first time ever a team has tried the late-game "go for 2 on the first TD" strategy, missed both of them, and still won, yeah? certainly not the way that approach usually plays out
@RealKidPoker@robbi47027 for a political "independent" you have a completely unbalanced range in the last several months. havent seen you say a single negative thing about this administration, only ever apologia for who's in charge and hostility towards anything leftward
@abcdef172210@DeepBallsOnly@getnickwright i think this was actually a closer call than the one from their own 30 - because usually the advantage of going on 4th and short in opp territory is the upside of getting 7 instead of 3, which wasnt relevant here. would be curious what the bot thinks
@DeepBallsOnly@getnickwright it isnt crazy, and the strength of the opposing offense makes going better, not worse. the stronger the opposing offense is, the worse it is to punt to them. and, this team is really good at 4th and 1, they get it so frequently, go on to score points, and it gets forgotten.
