The Turkana County Score II water project was officially launched today with the aim of providing climate-resilient water solutions to communities.

Funded by @KenyaKoica, the project aims to rehabilitate and drill boreholes to supply safe water for families in 620 villages.

This morning, I held a meeting with a delegation from UNICEF, led by Chief Zonal Office Rotuno Kipsang. The team briefed me on the upcoming launch of the ‘Strengthening County Resilience against WASH-related Climate Crisis in Turkana’ (SCORE II) Project.

This solar-powered borehole serves over 1500 people, a school & a dispensary.Thanks to @UNICEFUSA for funding this life-changing project!

Ready-to-use therapeutic and supplementary foods like these are not meant to be used as spreads like peanut butter.

They are essential medical supplies for children and pregnant/breastfeeding women with severe and moderate malnutrition.
