🚨 Rodri on Manchester City charges: “The club always press their confidence that they never did something wrong and we believe that”.

“Until the moment they’re proven wrong, we will believe the club. I've been there, I know how they work and cooperate”.

🚨 Official: Manchester City Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak statement.

“I have been part of this Club for 18 years. I have had the privilege to stand with you in the Etihad, at Wembley, and in Istanbul. This Club matters to me, and you have shown and told me – time and time again - how much Manchester City matters to you. This is why I am writing to you today”.

“Following Friday’s media reporting, many of you will have spent your evening answering questions and responding to messages from friends, family and colleagues. So have I”.

“Here’s what I said to my family: The Premier League process still has a long way to run, and our confidence and intent in proving the Club’s innocence is just as strong as when this began”.

“There are so many things that I would like to be able to share with you to help you understand why we feel so confident in our position. But the strict confidentiality of the legal process and our determination to respect it means I cannot do that at the moment. Even this letter underwent several legal checks to make sure it complies”.

“I ask you to please carefully read the statement below, which we gave on Friday, and the statement we issued in February 2023 (also below). Every word matters and holds true”.

“While some people have been quick to reach their own conclusions, and there is so much noise swirling around us, nothing has changed. We have faced challenges together before and have prevailed. There remain many who want to undermine the momentum of our Club. We will not give them that opportunity”.

“We have some exciting moments to look forward to after this international break.  We travel to Anfield in a fortnight, and then host Paris St Germain in the Champions League back at Etihad Stadium - moments that give us an opportunity to celebrate the strength of the Manchester City family”.

“Thank you, as always, for your constant support. Khaldoon Al Mubarak”.

Yeah but what about the boats, Andy?

[Steve Round @Roundall]

@johngibbonsblog Think it might be to do with the groups they are in. If the team that finishes 3rd in Group B (Bosnia) qualifies, there are only 2 potential options in round of 32 (play Winner of Group E or Group D). For Sweden and Ecuador there are more potential options so still to confirm 🤷

@_UberSuprtHQs Managed to get an Uber in the end but I’d expect this to be credited back as my confirmed taxi booking was cancelled, 15 mins after it was supposed to arrive. Not asking for much based on a very poor experience today

[Steve Round @Roundall]

A day of shocking service from @Uber - 2 drivers cancel whilst awaiting arrival and then when reserve a taxi for the evening, doesn’t show and then also cancels. Fantastic customer service👏👏👏. Support Team absolutely useless as well

Another 2 years have passed and unsurprisingly, there are still no improvements or 4G football pitches in Banbury, despite even more Youth teams than ever before. Largest town in the country without a 4G! We’re past the point of needing one 4G facility - we need 3 to 4…

[Steve Round @Roundall]

When will ever see action???!!! Football facilities in Banbury are an absolute joke. Is there another town in England still being served by 20th century facilities 😡

#MOTD analysis - “why didn’t Villa go long?!” Next clip, Villa go long and Liverpool scored 2nd goal 🤷🏻‍♂️

[Steve Round @Roundall]

@BBCMOTD @GuillemBalague PSG, Barca, Real & Bayern can all stroll their leagues and guaranteed top 2 finish. PL teams in CL face quality every week and can’t rest players like the others do - rubbish from @GuillemBalague

Rivals will always be Man Utd and Everton, never Newcastle. No bitterness from LFC side 🤷🏻‍♂️

[Phil McNulty @philmcnulty]

Newcastle United and Liverpool confirmed their status as the Premier League's latest bitter rivalry with a soap opera off the pitch & a chaotic night on it. Gordon let his team down while Liverpool are a team needing a defender rather than a £150m striker. https://t.co/poqVwRqv39
