Raylands Park is good to go. We are delighted to welcome back all our owners this weekend. Thank you to the @BHHPA team for all your lobbying, help and advice that got us up and running again. #caravanning#holidayparks#uktourism#GoodToGo
“Cornwall already getting day trippers. Allowing caravan owners onto parks where there is the infrastructure of loos and litter bins = safer & would allow them to park next to their caravans & walk to beach” @CornwallLive @michaelgove https://t.co/vc8DfAAZBb
We have been working hard at Raylands Park to get ready for re-opening. We are safe and ready to open. Owners of Holiday Homes and Parks getting increasingly frustrated now. @10DowningStreet @BHHPA @RishiSunak@OliverDowden
Three things the Government MUST do to help hospitality and tourism survive:
1) Publish the advice for how hospitality businesses can safely re-open
2) Be flexible with the phase out of the furlough scheme
3) Provide a support package to take the sector through to next Spring
Pleeeease give us a firm date so that we can communicate with our caravan owners! They’ve invested many £’000’s in their holiday homes & deserve some clarity.
ENGLAND 🏴 ‘government will look at reopening sites such as caravan parks..no earlier than 4 July..subject to..scientific advice
..will issue further guidance shortly on our phased reopening..inc which businesses could be covered in each phase & timeframes involved’
.@SimonCalder explains how caravan owners and park owners are ready for reopening ... just a soon as we receive the green light from Ministers @10DowningStreet @fmwales @ScotGovFM @niexecutive
Thank you @OliverDowden on behalf of all Holiday Home Parks desperate to survive this crisis. Also many thanks @BHHPA for their tireless work in raising awareness.
Thank you @OliverDowden @DCMS for your confirmation of the lower risks of self-contained accommodation. We are ready just as soon as you give the green light.
Thank you @KarlTurnerMP The risks are lower in the great outdoors than in many of the indoor environments already open. We need to #ProtectTourismJobs, the rural and coastal communities we sustain and our caravan manufacturing supply chain inc @atlaslh and all @NCCLtd members!
The entire holiday park supply chain can be saved by opening up parks to private owners as soon as possible, without park facilities initially. Low health risk for nationwide economic reward.

“UK’s caravan operators warn of risk of collapse The UK’s £9bn caravan manufacturing industry is at risk of collapse as owners of shuttered holiday parks hold back payments and cut future orders” @10DowningStreet @OliverDowden https://t.co/zNSDHYR572
Thank you @RicHolden for raising this. Caravan, motorhome and holiday caravan retailers also benefit from ‘significant outdoor space’ & easier to apply social distancing. Reopening on 1 June will start unlock of caravan industry supply chain and protect jobs.
The @GOVUK this morning talking about localised lockdowns during future ease flare-ups @RobertJenrick so surely a phased reopening of certain parts of hospitality NOW is better than a national strategy? Caravan natural social distancing! @BHHPAros @BHHPA @griffitha@RishiSunak
