Though the reach of the Culture of Death expands and the structures that support it deepen, Catholics must confront it publicly in prayer and charity. Planting the Cross of Christ and standing with Our Lady extends the Blessed Kingdom of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Meditation for this campaign of 40 Days for Life. "Learn from Me for I am meek and humble of heart" Matt. 11.
These virtues are needed particularly when witnessing publicly to Life. What is not needed is any sign language skills to understand gestures of some passersby.
Well done to all @latinmassuk this is a great achievement winning so many graces for England.
Ireland needs something like this - Yes, the SSPX have their pilgrimage here and hats off but for those not so involved Walsingham next year is a good bet.
The antiphons during Matins in the Divine Office yesterday, for the Feast of the Aassumption, were particularly beautiful. Part of our Marian Procession yesterday passed through a seedy part of town. However, recalling this antiphon provided extra inspiration.
Bishop Athanasius Schneider is in Ireland this week giving conferences & offering Holy Mass. He must have spent 45 minutes greeting everyone after Mass yesterday. Apparently one or two of the bishops here have asked for a private meeting with him - this is worthy of your prayer.
@JoshuaTCharles " the abortion-mentality which has made this procedure possible thus leads, whether one wants it or not, to man's domination over the life and death of his fellow human beings and can lead to a system of radical eugenics.
Donum Vitae II
"Through these procedures, with apparently contrary purposes, life and death are subjected to the decision of man, who thus sets himself up as the giver of life and death by decree. This dynamic of violence and domination may remain unnoticed by those very individuals who, in wishing to utilize this procedure, become subject to it themselves. ....the abortion-mentality which has made this procedure possible thus leads, whether one wants it or not, to man's domination over the life and death of his fellow human beings and can lead to a system of radical eugenics."
Donum Vitae II 1987
I wonder has this university (and its eminent professors) written to Rome asking to rescind Traditionis Custodes, Mater Fidelis Populi, Fiducia Supplicans, Amoris Laetitia etc..??

The orderly thing to do would be at least to talk to the SSPX. To "behave in a disorderly manner, going whimsically our own way without any coordination with the head or other members of the community, could be ecclesial Parkinsons." Cardinal Dias 2008.

BREAKING: Pope Leo on the SSPX consecrations —
“I am considering making another appeal and saying ‘don't do this, let's try to live the communion of the Church.’ But it is their choice.
We must realize what it means for them and for the Church. Certainly, the division among Christians is a painful point.
However, they refuse to accept some fundamental elements of the Church, starting with several points of the Second Vatican Council. If they make that choice, I am sorry. But we must move forward”
