can't even say "imo" honestly. if you have any actual observations to state to support your claim, say it. don't just post this claim and give no details whatsoever. just another bot/employee/content farmer
The fight choreography in this sequence raised the bar for TV as a medium imo, I need season 3 to top it, or at least match it. Never seen anything this good in any fantasy series, ever.
@AbuedKhaled@xHirochi@habibkun9 I make educated and informed process dissections, you act dogmatically, denying how productions work as if these amazing artists are foolish time- and money-wasters (just for their own clout?), all while trying to insult me. I'm hardly the one coping here
@xHirochi@habibkun9 I suppose crazy is a word for it, but experience will tell you these breakdowns are not indicative of anything specific. it's very simple to mask a 3D model. rotoscoping has become commonplace, not to be downplayed when someone like Inoue calls this his most stressful project
@xHirochi@habibkun9 but also I'm a production-experienced animator; it would be dumb to decide not use 3D

this video shows the roto iterations used for timing/cohesion. Inoue talks about the dragon as a collaborative effort while the girl he details as his personal handiwork
@Supuupi@habibkun9 no exceptions. you're referring to are those hand drawn timing and keyframe passes which are a distraction from the cg implementation to non-animators; those are tracings primarily done for instructional purposes in a production. it was still very much using an animated 3D dragon
@xHirochi@habibkun9 it is absolutely cg. the three-dimensionality of that dragon and especially the rendering in post should be clear enough. he's talked about the shot at length, primarily giving detail on the complexities of the girl
@xHirochi@habibkun9 yeah I've seen this, this is strictly a timing demo. the dragon is still a 3D model, traced here for the other animators to keep it cohesive for the rest of the production
hey everyone, don't engage this person. just block them and move on. i hate everything about these type of posters, baiting engagement with ridiculous opinions. we can block people remember, so block his desperate garbage account trying so hard to be successful on Twitter lol
@JournalistBear@DiscussingFilm indeed. it feels weirdly greeble-forced and generic. a hodgepodge of "look at these sci-fi things!" all ripped from other sources that its predecessors inspired. I just know we're going to hear people claiming meta bs like "that's the point!" as if that's not inherently mediocre
@Pirat_Nation it's a weird feeling. how do you console someone when you've been desperate for consolation for years? it's like the same scenario of having to congratulate someone for getting your dream gig when you haven't even gotten near it yourself, sending application after application
@Pirat_Nation as an animator myself, I've never had something even remotely as big of a name like Pixar. my biggest break was like 4 months on the tiniest unknown studio. I've felt gutted long before I could even be actually gutted from a major company
