Members of the @RNC_PoliceNL along with Paramedics from @NLHS and @RoversSAR successfully rescued a new born infant and mom from a wooded area in the CBS area. Mom and newborn appear ok and are enroute to hospital .

OPEN HOLE IN ICE IN OCTAGON POND NEAR BOAT LAUNCH
@RoversSAR will be completing Ice Rescue Training this weekend on Octagon Pond in @townofparadise
This work requires cutting a large open hole in the ice for rescuers to perform technical traning exercises.
⚠️⚠️Caution⚠️⚠️ Given the weather conditions overnight and throughout tomorrow (Sunday) please keep a safe distance between you and the coastline! A picture may be worth a 1000 words, but it certainly isn’t worth your health and safety!
This is your reminder to stay at a very safe distance from any beach if you’re going to view the waves tomorrow. In situations like this water levels will rise rapidly with no warning. #NLwx
The individual was transferred care back to the Paramedics at the Signal Hill interpretation center.

Rovers SAR was tasked by @NL_HealthServ this morning to assist with an injured hiker on the Signal Hill trail. Due to the location of the incident and the injuries, Rovers SAR deployed its Helicopter 🚁 Rescue team to retrieve the individual from the trail.
The RNC is searching for Sophia WHITE of St John's. WHITE is described as 5'4", 135 lbs with brown hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information about her whereabouts should call 709-729-8000.

Our team received a request this evening to assist the @RNC_PoliceNL & other first responders with a rescue of 2 injured individuals near Petty Harbour. Our helicopter rescue team extracted the 2 patients & delivered them to awaiting Paramedics with @EasternHealthNL

We would like to take this opportunity to remind those who are taking in outdoor activities, especially over the next few days to be AdventureSmart and remember the 3Ts. It is never an easy decision, but perhaps sometimes, it is best to pick another trail or wait for another day.
Busy evening for our helicopter rescue team. 4 pm we received call from multiple agencies, Garmin Inreach🆘activation, Hiker on the ECT near Shoal Bay had developed heat stroke symptoms. We responded, transported them Eastern Health paramedics who transported them to hospital
Then at 7:30 pm, we received a second call for an injured hiker who was hiking the ECT just north of Brigus South. We dispatch a second Helicopter Rescue crew who extracted and transported the individual to awaiting paramedics in Brigus South.
