The absence of Person of Interest alone tells me this is a faulty list. As early as 2014, it portrayed 2 artificial superintelligent sentient machines with different values, battling one another. A visionary sci-fi series WAAAAY ahead of its time!
The same is true of most Muslims in South Asia. They are Hindu Indians who got forced to convert. But being Arab, Turk, or Persian has more stature and soft power. Hence the lie that they all came to India.
What was the justification for invading? The second lie is they came to civilize the natives out of primitive culture. This happens wherever invaders colonize the conquered minds
Religions are not similar nor equal in any meaningful manner. A religion whose central tenet is to forcibly convert the entire world is very different from one that forbids proselytizing. A fundamentalist Jain is one who is very committed to not harming an ant. More Jains literally implies more peace. This is not true of all faiths. Stop promulgating the idea that all religions are similar in their teachings. Nothing could be further from the truth. Freedom of religion IMPLIES freedom from any religion that seeks to remove all of your freedoms if and when in power. Wake up.
Children who are 18 years old now were 6 when Modi came to power.
They know very little of the country under UPA.
And it's "cool" to be not like the previous generation, it is part of adulting. They'll grow up.
But remember the master manipulators behind the scenes.
Of course not. The passion of the youth expects the outcome to magically manifest. They don’t have any idea of the process needed to achieve the outcome. And it’s ok for the youth to be a romantic revolutionary and then mature with age and experience!
You think only the youth (gen z) is uniting. Maybe the adults (millennial and gen x) are silently observing all of it and counter polarizing watching all of this unfold? They're scared because tbeir actual money is at stake and anarchists scare the shit out of them? Have you given this a thought in your analysis?
Don’t know about Rang De Basanti, but let me tell you what some of us millennials actually grew up watching.
I was in primary school during the 1993 Mumbai bombings -- too young to even understand what terrorism meant. But I distinctly remember my mom repeatedly warning me not to pick up anything lying around while playing outside because, you know, it could be a bomb.
That was childhood.
Then came the seemingly endless procession of attacks: the 1993 Mumbai blasts, Red Fort in 2000, Parliament in 2001, the Mumbai bus bombings and Akshardham in 2002, three separate blasts within eight months in Mumbai in 2003, the 2005 Delhi blasts, the 2007 Hyderabad bombings, and the 2008 Bangalore and Ahmedabad blasts.
In July 2006, I was supposed to be on one of the trains that was bombed near Mahim. I stayed back at the office because of a meeting. A completely mundane change of plans is probably the reason I’m alive to type this instead of being a name on a list of the dead.
I remember that evening far better than I remember any stupid movie. Our office went into lockdown. Phones were jammed. People were crying and frantically trying to reach their families. Nobody knew what was happening, whether there were more bombs, or whether someone they loved was lying dead inside a mangled train compartment.
Two years later came 26/11.
I had the misfortune of watching uncensored footage of the aftermath. One clip showed bodies being piled and stacked inside a makeshift room at CST while someone wheeled in another load on a bloodied wheelbarrow, with blood dripping onto the floor. The sanitised footage shown on television didn't come remotely close to what actually happened inside that station.
So yes, us millennials lived through an era where we went to work knowing that the crime of simply boarding the wrong train, getting on the wrong bus, eating at the wrong restaurant, or standing on the wrong street at the wrong fucking moment could get you blown to pieces or riddled with bullets.
Some of us literally went to work wondering, somewhere at the back of our minds, whether this would be the commute we wouldn't come home from.
So please, spare us millennials this sanctimonious horseshit about Rang De Basanti and what some Bollywood movie supposedly should have taught us about how to vote.
Prabhu Shree Ram had the most powerful horoscope ever cast. Five planets exalted or in their own sign Three Mahapurusha Yogas. Jupiter in the lagna.
And he still lost his kingdom. His home. The woman he loved. That is not a contradiction. That is the deepest teaching Vedic astrology has ever produced.

I have a different take on this.
India killed US personnel in Kairana hills and in Noor Khan command centre.
Dhurandhars killed many US operatives in Bangladesh during Yunus fiasco. Dhurandhars killed 10-odd more in Myanmar. Plus it arrested couple.
But US cannot accept the deaths in Kairana as the maal there is all their own and they can't reveal that the operatives killed in BD and Myanmar are covert ops. On the top, we insulted Rubio too.
USA decided to take revenge overtly. Now it is challenging India ki Kya ukaad legaa. Ball is in India’s court.
As I said earlier - Modi has no ego of his own. Hindu-nation’s ego is Modi’s ego. He is sheep and nation is shepherd. If it is in the interest of that they need
The global internet handles Indians poorly because we Indians do not handle each other well. Unlike other highly unified diasporas/global communities who form a strict, protective circle around their identity when attacked from the outside, the Indian internet presence is profoundly, fundamentally fractured.
When a generalized, racist attack is leveled against Indians on a global platform, We do not respond as a singular, powerful civilizational bloc. Instead, the internal fault lines of the subcontinent instantly crack open in the comments section:
Rather than attacking the racist premise, different factions will weaponize the attack against each other. North Indians will blame South Indians, South Indians will distance themselves from North Indians, political left-wingers will claim the racism is justified because of right-wing policies & right-wingers will blame the left for projecting a poor image of the country abroad.
In the language of Chanakya’s Arthashastra, this is the classic vulnerability of a state suffering from Abhyantara Kopa (internal dissension). Chanakya explicitly warned that a massive kingdom with infinite wealth & numbers can be brought down effortlessly by a tiny external enemy if the kingdom's internal factions hate each other more than they value their collective security.
Until the Indian internet demographic develops the civilizational maturity to drop internal squabbles & present a united front against external degradation, the algo will continue to exploit & monetize the fractures.
I think it is about time that @narendramodi ji needs to give marching orders to Shri Dharmendra Pradhan. The NEET cancellation followed by CBSE fiasco is a major execution disaster. Apart from the disaster on execution front, there is now talk about towards favoritism in appointment of execution agencies.
Involving Armed Forces in NEET execution will not restore the faith of lakhs of children and their parents. Its like using a band-aid to prevent a dam from bursting! There is no guarantee that the disaster will not strike again in one form or the another unless complete overhaul is done.
Probity demands that the Education Minister needs to resign and a complete relook needs to be taken at the NEET execution and the CBSE copy checking system.
Ranveer Singh is banned from the film industry after failing to comply with the terms and conditions signed with Farhan Akhtar for Don 3.
His current movies will be put on hold unless he agrees to pay 45 crores loss that Farhan incured.
Akanksha Sehgal, an Instagram influencer who dances on social media for views.
She is unmarried and has an estrogen-maxxed dad.
Now she has made being unmarried and having an estrogen-maxxed dad her whole personality.
I would have ignored it, but she is directly looking down on women who are married and minding their own business.
This reel went very viral, and even news channels are supporting her.
Why do unmarried Indian women make being unmarried their entire personality and try to look down on women who are married and living a modest life?
Is posting on social media to prove that she is having fun something progressive?
Women who try to prove that they are happy are always the most depressed and jealous ones.
