To bring awareness to the "why" behind today's EAS testing, we wanted to share this FAQ information from FEMA.
An aspect of the system being tested is a tool that we, as your County Emergency Management, can use to notify the public of emergent information.
FEMA will conduct a nationwide Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) nationwide test on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at approximately 2:20 p.m.
