Roster Update:
We have added Defenseman Michael Grace and Midfielder Hugh Kelleher to the Unavailable to Travel List.
Both are competing in the NLL playoffs — best of luck to Grace (@GeorgiaSwarm) and Kelleher (@TorontoRock).

From 9 teams to a national footprint, the NLL’s growth era redefined the league.
Now, with the Wings situation, it’s worth examining the full picture — progress, pressure, and what’s ahead.

Oh boy… referees love to drive me nuts.
I’m on them don’t get it twisted but I hate having to say this day after day…
Why is the referee standing there in the first place? What are we gaining by being in that spot?
@dwilliams_51 shouldn’t ever have to worry about a ref being in his lane.
And the wild part? Same official already wore one off the face in that exact spot… some people just don’t learn, eh?

@AdamLeviLAX The refs are consistently in the way by the crease… always have to tell them if we’re going behind the net, shouldn’t have to worry about running into them mid play, only a matter of time until someone got hurt, hate seeing this hope Dys is okay
This is utterly ridiculous and it should worry everyone involved in minor lacrosse.
Hearing this was sent to a center already struggling for numbers… and instead of support, players are being blocked from moving? How is that “growing the game”?
You’re freezing releases, locking kids into zones, and shifting rules on the fly. That’s not development — that’s restriction.
And here’s where it gets worse:
How are you holding A tryouts and evaluating “in-house players” when you don’t even know your full player pool yet because Northumberland kids haven’t even been allowed to try out?
So what is this based on? Guesswork? Protecting certain spots? Moving the goalposts as you go?
You can’t preach opportunity while limiting access to it. You can’t talk development while controlling where kids are allowed to play.
This isn’t about fairness — it’s about control.
And the real question is… who does this actually benefit?
Hearing this isn’t the only centre in Ontario that might face this.
