As a junior academic, I was advised to avoid writing about racism until after tenure. Some senior colleagues feared that discussing structural discrimination or critical race theory might limit opportunities.

Using the World3 computer model to simulate Earth & human system interactions, it predicted societal collapse to begin around about, err, now.
50 years on, World3 was updated with the latest input data.
It gave the same answer. Oh joy!
