@DrHelenFry It’s a posed photo though as in reality they wouldn’t be loading belts of ammo but ammo boxes, which would be quicker to load. But a great photo to honour the ground crew nonetheless.

@UllmannMaike @PebvVan @Bricktop_NAFO I do know the RAF pilots came over to the US to help teach the US pilots who were essentially useless at air combat in the early years of World War 2. For example: RAF’s Sailor Malan in simulated air combat exercises, shot down of 12 opposing aircraft in under 5 minutes.

And here in Germany it doesn’t even come into consideration to even think about buying a lower quality US car. The same way I’ve never been to a Starbucks here, really no need when there are amazing coffee shops here.

@George687616905 @MarinaMedvin I know an elderly lady who was a teen at the time working on a farm with her friend, they were out on the land and plainly visible. An allied fighter plane came over and strafed them and killed the girl next to her.
