The past 2 weeks have been an exercise in how utterly fucked the housing situation is. Trying to buy a house, but there's a land dispute between the owner & the freeholder - a system which needs to be abolished. This is on indefinite-hold because they can't sort their shit out...

I’m now essentially locked in for 12 months, and I’m praying the boundary issues on my house are now dragged out by his utterly useless legal council for another 9 months or so, just so I can have a shot at getting on the property market with a fabulously low 8% mortgage rate.
