Some of us refuse to get carried away by the #OsunGuber2026 Election result.
The only thing it really proves is that a large voter turnout (43.4% in Osun is high by recent Nigerian standards) is the best antidote to rigging and that we must all join hands to hold @inecnigeria's "feet to the fire 🔥"
As at 8.50am on the day after the elections (today), INEC's IREV had 98.35% of the results uploaded instead of 100%. INEC must still explain why they have NOT uploaded the results from 62 Polling Units out of 3,763 Polling Units i.e. notwithstanding the fact that those results are now largely inconsequential because Governor @AAdeleke_01 has already won.

One of the biggest challenges in building https://t.co/T1C9aFSkry, beyond setting up the data pipeline, was OCR.

Polling-unit result sheets are handwritten, then photographed and uploaded to IReV. The handwriting, image quality, lighting, angles, and compression meant that traditional OCR tools simply weren’t reliable enough.

We tested several of the leading LLMs and eventually settled on a dual-model consensus approach: two different models independently read each result sheet, and a vote total is accepted only when both models agree.

Even with that safeguard, we knew there would still be a small chance of incorrectly reading some polling-unit results.

Before Osun, we tested the system using results from Ekiti and Anambra, and the results gave us enough confidence to deploy it at scale.

Now that INEC has announced the official results for all 30 LGAs in Osun, we can finally compare the official statewide collation with what Mundx independently produced from polling-unit results uploaded to IReV.

The result is encouraging:

Mundx’s polling-unit tally was about 95.68% accurate compared with the final INEC statewide results, despite having only 97.77% of polling units included in its count.


That means an automated, LLM-based system was able to get remarkably close to the final official result while working from an incomplete set of polling-unit uploads and doing so much faster and more cost-efficiently than manual collation.

This has reinforced something we strongly believed while building the system: LLM-based OCR is incredibly powerful, especially for documents that traditional OCR struggles with.

There is still more work to do. We will continue strengthening the validation layers, improving how the system handles difficult result sheets and edge cases, and making the platform even more resilient ahead of 2027.

Our Replacement Feed has already detected two INEC result sheets that were replaced after their initial upload.

The system tracks each result sheet using its SHA-256 fingerprint, re-reads any replacement, and flags changes including where the reported leader changes.

Election transparency should include what happens after results are uploaded too.

THIS IS HOW TO DEFEAT THE APC:

We must apply Davido’s method in 2027.
Elections in Nigeria are still 90% manual.
So we must have the physical copies of EC8A.

We must make sure that form EC8A & eECD8A (electronic EC8A) are uploaded to iREV in our presence. NDC must have a National Collation Center. They MUST provide Nigerians with (176,846 x 3) = 530,538 polling unit agents to police the 176,846 PUs across the country.

They MUST have (8,809 x 3) =26,427 agents policing the 8,809 wards across Nigeria as well.

These agents must be well-trained & paid well!

We must make sure our polling unit results are uploaded on the iRev & the figures are entered on eECD8A (electronic EC8A) in our presence.

All the results must be uploaded in real-time or as soon as internet network becomes available.

INEC OFFICIALS MUST NEVER BE ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE PU, UNTIL ALL RESULTS ARE UPLOADED TO iREV. Then we follow the votes to the WARD & STATE COLLATION CENTERS!

We must be fearless. We must continue to raise alarm & face APC rigging machine head-on.

We must follow the votes bumper to bumper!

If NDC provides 530,538 agents & we follow these steps meticulously, Nigerians will win!
