And as Carl Jung said, no matter how isolated you are and how lonely you feel, if you do your work truly and conscientiously, unknown friends will come and seek you.
I heard someone say, satan got adam and eve to fix their eyes on one tree when god had already given them an entire garden, think about that. The enemy didn't have to convince them that they had nothing. He just had to make them forget everything that they already had. And he still, till this day, uses the same strategy. He gets us to focus on relationships we don't have, the job that we don't have, the opportunity we don't have, the healing we haven't seen yet. Meanwhile, we are blind to the countless prayers god has already answered. Gratitude isn't pretending you don't want more, it's refusing to let what you don't have make you forget the goodness of god that's already surrounding you.

One time, my period came unexpectedly while I was on a long flight.
No pad. No tampon. Nothing.
I was sitting there trying to figure out how to get through the next few hours without making it obvious.
Then I noticed another woman walking down the aisle.
I quietly stopped her and whispered,
“Do you happen to have a pad?”
The best advice I heard from a stranger was this: give luck more opportunities to bump into you. Leave the house, take a different road, travel, say yes to new experiences. The more you do, the more life surprises you in the best ways.
it is an unwritten rule of life that after every prolonged period of hardship and uncertainty, there is going to be a period when you are going to achieve quantum leaps across multiple areas of your life. the only requirement is that you do not give up on yourself.
Society massively overinvests in romantic relationships and blood family while chronically underinvesting in friendship; the GOAT relationship category in many ways.
One thing I've observed now that I'm 35+ is that careers are far less linear than we think.
People build incredible careers and businesses but what I've also seen is that sometimes things fall apart. Not because they're lazy. Not because they're incompetent. Not because they did anything wrong.
Asue Ighodalo, the founding partner of Banwo & Ighodalo Law firms attributes his success to being "fortunate"
He says he's very fortunate to come across important clients in his career.
He's never asked or lobbied for any board seat. People invite him to join their boards.
The public visibility of genuinely successful, legitimate Black men is essential. When those who have achieved authentic success choose silence, they leave a cultural vacuum that is quickly monopolized to exploit the lack of real mentorship
Most people do not avoid entrepreneurship because they lack ideas.
They avoid it because they cannot tolerate the emotional violence of trying to make something real when reality has not yet validated it.
Selling when the product is not fully understood.
Managing people who do not feel the consequences as deeply as you do.
Holding the vision before the world agrees it is real.
Absorbing rejection without letting it poison your confidence.
Creating momentum from ambiguity.
The world really is a museum of passion projects. Almost everything that looks obvious now began as someone’s obsession. A hospital. A fund. A bank. A university. A public company. Someone carried it before the world recognised it.
And the carrying is ugly.
