The Rotary Club of Charlottetown Royalty (RCCR), in Charlottetown, PEI, Canada, meets at the Charlottetown Library and Learning Centre, Wednesdays at 7:15 a.m.
Our Guest speaker this week at RCCR was Dr.David Wong who spoke in detail on the topic of ADHD. One of the more common yet misunderstood ailments among children as well as adults. We also welcomed our 5th new member of the year Betty Begg-Brooks.
Our guest speaker this week at RCCR was Jamel Bhates, Conductor of the PEI Symphony Orchestra. He shared an insightful presentation about the importance of the symphony orchestra in the community.
Today RCCR we held two celebrations. We celebrated the induction of our newest Rotarian, John Burton, and also our longest serving Rotarian, Jim MacNutt who has achieved an incredible 50 years of service.
Today was a day of giving as we marked Black History Month. Rotarians were provided with information links to become more informed on the rich Canadian History of black history and the many that have contributed to the growth of Canada.
A big thank you to the President of The Gray Group for being our guest speaker at today’s Rotary meeting. We gained valuable insights into their real estate development projects in the Maritimes, including exciting work on PEI. It was an informative and inspiring session for all!
