Been watching old Bengali & Hindi films. What a melting pot of cultures & religions India’s film industry has been—Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh, also Judaism. Early India’s secular experiment, while far from perfect, commanded global respect. It’ll be sad if this is lost.
