The AUV caught by fishermen in the Bay of Bengal appears to be a Chinese-made Sea Wing glider, previously deployed in the Indian Ocean in 2020.

With Pakistan’s recent AUV deals with China, it is likely on a Pakistan Navy mission.

As Indian media reports that hundreds of Bangladeshi citizens are waiting at the border to enter #Bangladesh, the government should act immediately to properly vet and admit them to prevent illegal push-ins.

After the deep-sea port and container terminal deals, now even the Bay of Bengal blocks are being handed out for oil and gas exploration at rock-bottom prices, with minimal ownership for Bangladesh.

At this rate, the country may end up buying back its own natural resources.
