No offence to the BIST Sec(!) but anyone who has met Claire Reynolds knows who she is married to is far from the most interesting thing about her.
It’s certainly the least relevant note about this possible appointment.
Strategic, smart, wise, experienced, emotionally intelligent, and trusted across the movement are - IMHO - among the more useful framings of this woman with a name.
🚨Ballots dropping tomorrow 🚨
When you receive your ballot, vote for the unity and stability that our party needs to stand up to populism, and transform people’s lives 🌹
A very positive NEC meeting today, our message is clear:
Unite our party to deliver real change and win the next election🌹
Vote Angie Davies, Abdi Duale, Peter Mason and Jane Thomas for NEC 🗳️
Yesterday, I lent my vote to the fantastic @elsieortong and to the wonderful @CampaignJane , @angela4LME , @AbdiDuale_ and @_petermason - they’ve worked hard to deliver a version of our party that is driven, ambitious and has given so much to its young members like myself 🌹
Note to all the pearl-clutching Tories out in force today…
You don’t HAVE to send your kids to private school. We have universal education provision in this country.
If you *choose* to do so, the rest of us shouldn’t pay for you to have a tax break for the privilege.
The Gestapo marched hundreds of thousands of innocent people to their deaths.
I've ended private schools' tax breaks to invest in state schools.
No responsible leader makes vile comparisons like this. Kemi Badenoch is not fit to be Prime Minister.
📈 3,008 more teachers in secondaries & special schools
📈1,646 more teachers in colleges
📈Trainee teachers up 13%
📈 Teacher pay up 9.5%
📈 Record investment in schools
If standing up for state schools makes me a spiteful class warrior, I’ll wear it with pride.
#PMQs
Kemi Badenoch showed her true character at PMQs today. Classless, vicious & vindictive towards the brilliant @bphillipsonMP . What is it about this clever, decent brilliant women bringing opportunity to children of all backgrounds that Kemi hates so much? Envy is a terrible thing
Pleased to welcome @BaggyShanker to the Ministry of Defence team as my new PPS.
He brings a wealth of local government and private sector experience.
Looking forward to working together to deliver for our forces around the world and for people and businesses at home.
🔴Breaking News - Appointed as Government's National Maternity Advisor
Today, I am honoured to announce that I have been appointed as the National Maternity Advisor to the Government.
This role is deeply personal to me. Before I was a politician, I was - and always will be - a mother. Like far too many women across this country, I know what it feels like to come through childbirth carrying both physical and emotional scars. That experience has shaped me, driven me, and strengthened my determination to fight for safer, more compassionate maternity care for every family.

We couldn’t be prouder to support Emily Moore for Chair of Young Labour 🌟🌸
Emily’s campaign has accessibility and inclusivity at its heart. It isn’t right that some members feel disconnected from our movement.
Indeed, Oscar had already been in touch about getting a Young Labour Women's event going in Yorkshire and Humber! Delighted that he's re-standing he'll be an excellent regional rep!
Well it’s been a weird 24 hours but I am glad members get to have their say and I will be re-standing.
Take a look at what I had already been up to since being elected:
1/ Statement on the Labour Students Elections:
Yesterday, I was informed that the ballots stage of the Labour Students elections is being re-run. This is because of an administrative error in the initial process which prevented members who were entitled to vote from taking part.
