It's really great to be in India for @hideccanqueen!
Thank you to @vipulnsward and the whole Deccan Queen on Rails team for doing such an amazing job putting on this event!
Ruby 4.1.0dev on Windows (mswin, not mingw) is getting faster. On the ruby-bench headline benchmarks, the 4.1 dev build runs 1.32x faster than 4.0 without a JIT, and 2.19x faster with YJIT, which now works on mswin. Stay tuned for the 4.1 release.
RubyLLM 2.1 is out now and it's missing nothing from LangChain/LangGraph/LangSmith.
- Up to 58x faster and 58x less memory
- Built-in MCP support with MCP Apps up to the latest spec
- Support for Jev and other Decision Models
- a new Evaluation framework
- OpenTelemetry tracing
You can have it all. The capabilities of the big Python frameworks, in a beautiful language like Ruby, integrated seamlessly into your Rails applications.

"We're about to see an absolute bloom in software development as the price of development plummets and everyone realizes how much automation we still have left to do in this world... Don't go down with the pencils. There's so much to build. We need you." https://t.co/HJbUwMiDEU
💎 Active Search is a new alpha gem for pluggable full-text search in Rails, with one Active Record API covering ten database and search-engine backends. #Rails https://t.co/lhzTmFJDfU
The answer to "what does this enable?" is ReActionView v0.6, which introduces LiveView-like, fine-grained reactivity for Rails.
You declare state in your view like strict locals, read it in plain Ruby, and write it from HTML attributes. Updates happen at the slot level, so only the changed values are updated. No JavaScript framework and no new file format needed.
Lexxy 1.0 brought an ALT text editor. This closes an embarrassing gap that Action Text and Trix have had since their release.
Major kudos to @lylo for pushing for this and making it happen in Action Text. And to @brunoprietog and @zoltanhosszu for taking care of the Lexxy side.
If you want to learn more about how Bruno cooked in Lexxy, check the new doc sections:

As I said in the Rails World presentation, Lexxy is not a Trix with tables. We went for the full package here.
The purpose of a system is what it does, but only for those observing it. In the Closing Keynote of #RailsWorld 2026, @tenderlove covers Ractors, ZJIT, and how AI agents chained a https://t.co/R9c5fU1iCE caching bug into a Rube Goldberg attack.
Aaron's an AI enthusiast, but his takeaway is clear: your compiler promised you the as-if rule, and your AI hasn't. So keep reading your code.

@florentmsl@yasulab Sam Ruby's Roundhouse transpile Rails app to plain Ruby (or other languages) without metaprogrammig. And Spinel can compile transpiled Ruby code. Not all Rails apps yet, but at least we can compile Campfire and Lobster. See https://t.co/vAcGwGG88M
