Almost 20 years of medical training and working to be a GP and neuro cognitive tests indicate I have cognitive impairment so no longer safe to practice. No treatment and unlikely to change its already been a year. Running out of money and no compensation.
I’m travelling by wheelchair to Berlin on 31st October for immunoadsorption for long covid. I have nothing left to lose at this stage. Failed by the nhs and queens square who ticked their boxes to do the basics but failed to save me.
@MisterSordan If I have to take palovid everyday until they find a cure then so bet as this is existing not living currently in hospital now as became too weak to take care of myself.
@MisterSordan I’ve bought two packs and taking half a dose due to low body weight so will last me 20 days. Feel bit better after 1.5 days time will tell.
– Still 𝗻𝗼 #LongCovid antivirals trials
– Still 𝗻𝗼 immunotherapy trials
– Still 𝗻𝗼 BC007 trials....
I'm fed up of saying it but the current state of Long Covid treatment trials is pathetic. It's not just a lack of urgency; it's a total absence of it.
The pace of apathy.
@BeeTee29715595@brokenrobot_@brucep13 I’ve tried humira which is tnf antagonist around 500 a dose. Tnf came down long covid got lots worse. Was told to stop it temporarily during covid but continuation made no difference to fatigue.
When you’ve been bed bound 5 months and the covid clinic you’ve been waiting for rings you and tell you no point you coming in today you’ve already seen neurology. I’m considering giving up and ending my life. No hope.
@michaeljames567@brucep13 I agree. This study shows full spike and n in some cases. BP targets monocytes carriage of the s1. We would need to add on a third antiviral to target the reservoir in these patient. Perhaps reservoir is in brain. Autopsies have shown this.
