That is how the Liberation Struggle began under extremely difficult circumstances. Yet, driven by patriotism and an unwavering commitment to their country, the sons and daughters of Rwanda never lost hope. They fought with courage, determination, and pride.

Meanwhile, those in power continued a propaganda campaign that portrayed refugees as enemies of the nation, labeling them Inyangarwanda ("enemies of Rwanda"). Despite this, on 28 December 1993, it became increasingly clear that they could not defeat people who had endured years of hardship while continuing to demonstrate love for their country and all its people.
It was on that day that 600 RPA soldiers left Ngondore and moved to the CND (Conseil National de Développement) to protect the politicians who were to join the Broad-Based Transitional Government under the Arusha Peace Agreement. Many people inside the country, who had been led to believe these soldiers were savage "animals," were eager to see them for themselves. Instead, they found disciplined young men and women whose defining characteristic was their deep love for Rwanda.

The Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) 507 Infantry Brigade has successfully completed a five-month Advanced Infantry Brigade Training (AIBT) at the Combat Training Centre Gabiro in Gatsibo District. The training was designed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and operational capabilities of infantry personnel, enabling them to effectively execute infantry tasks and accomplish RDF missions.
