@WaterfordNS The original relief road was supposed to go through that estate. It’s full of holiday homes so the council won’t touch it. Instead they put a CP order on the only community use field in the village. To make more space for holiday makers. Council won’t let locals have anything
@ElaineM84877264@GregHughes2@ramona_ke1@JohnHyn64078259 It is a horrible situation for you.Your bank, insurance company, building warranty etc, have all said your on your own? I do believe all houses in the country should now have a “where blocks were sourced” section of a mortgage application at this point.
@ramona_ke1@GregHughes2@JohnHyn64078259 They aren’t ensuring the fellow country people don’t get shat on. They are trying to ensure that the fellow country people pay for the repairs of their houses. Even if you brought in the law. It doesn’t change a thing if the insurers won’t cover defective products. What changes?
@ramona_ke1@GregHughes2@JohnHyn64078259 I’m not saying there isn’t a issue, I agree the loopholes should be closed. The commercial companies should be responsible for accepting self regulation if they are charging people premiums in a self regulated market. Even if it was legislated now would you be backdating the law?
@GregHughes2@ramona_ke1@JohnHyn64078259 The failing is in the fact the banks, insurance companies and homebond are able to not take reaponsibility! These are speculative commercial organisations that should be held accountable. The taxpayer being the last resort without fixing the commercial organisations is madness
@GregHughes2@ramona_ke1@JohnHyn64078259 So we are clear, you agree that anyone who bought from your quarry in Donegal, dependent on when they bought, are on their own. I should have the right to claim off my insurance like homebond for instance. If a builder built it, their insurance should cover it! Or sue the quarry!
@GregHughes2@ramona_ke1@JohnHyn64078259 When did “they could be knowingly buying a defective product” start. 2000, 2010, 2022? Surely the date doesn’t matter? if you buy the block shouldn’t you know it’s a self regulating industry. Shouldn’t you do the checks yourself, no one is hiding the fact it is self regulatory.
@GregHughes2@ramona_ke1@JohnHyn64078259 If someone does buy from that one quarry in Donegal that you mention, today, should the full cost of a rebuild be covered?
@ramona_ke1@GregHughes2@JohnHyn64078259 If someone buys defective blocks from the defective quarry today, do you believe the government should be liable to rebuild the entire house if anything happens to the blocks in the future?
@ramona_ke1@GregHughes2@JohnHyn64078259 So because concrete and blocks aren’t “legislated” the government/taxpayer is on the hook for all concrete and blocks in the country! Literally every block that breaks should be repaired and paid for by the government!Legislate everything or the taxpayer is responsible!
@GregHughes2@JohnHyn64078259 Should the government fix the water supply in Wicklow, yes! Should the gov fix the private wells of people who built their own well, direct, with faulty materials? The gov should fix public housing units that are defective. The taxpayer shouldn’t have to pay to fix private property
@SBlockOut @loomdart@buyachickennugg@CryptoGainz1 I’m satisfied that the wiki page is sufficient to give a definition of the minimum amount of mass shooting in America this year. Define how any of these events are outlier?
@SBlockOut @loomdart@buyachickennugg@CryptoGainz1 What difference would it make if I agreed or not? These events aren’t outlier for America, they are outlier when compared to other developed countries.
