@bailsbol@SiBehan@lukefitz11@fergmcfadden No he didn’t. He clarified that himself. He did the hammer before any contact. It’s poor form and we’ve seen a few instances of it in the last season or so, but it wasn’t the cause of Fergs injury.
@rugbyPhilBB@Dub324@simonrug In that video the player doesn't step & the tackler goes in with a stiff arm with no chance of making contact anywhere else.
@rugbyPhilBB@Dub324@simonrug If I can cite reasoning & examples while you talk in vagaries then 1 of us has an issue with their position. HINT: it's not me.
@rugbyPhilBB@Dub324@simonrug Have a look at the Steyn red and listen to the refs reasoning for the red. Then look at the Pisi yellow for his tackle on Isa last yr.
@rugbyPhilBB@Dub324@simonrug It really, really isn't. The example there is like the red Steyn got vs Lein last yr. The use of force is crucial there. Consistent decision
@BHHooker Conan & Leavy both looked v good against Wasps a few months back, who are far from poor opposition. Both consistently good last yr too....
@Dub324@simonrug Rarely seen a red for those. Tends to be a yellow. Saints did same to Isa last yr (think it was one of the Pisis) & got yellow for example.
@BrianODriscoll Need to rewatch on TV but thought his handling of mauls was poor. Lots of swimming around. Same tackle by Saints on Isa was yellow last yr.
