@ABC The times aren’t crazy because all those guys have been doping this whole time. They weren’t going to make a sudden jump because nothing has changed for them.
@1920bears@HonusBandicoot What would those per game numbers look like had he played through his waning years? A few more Wizards seasons and those look a lot different.
@chrisreedNIU98@NBAMemes Steroids didn’t take away from his fluidity. Age did. Not sure how old you are, but I know that I don’t move laterally anywhere near as well as I did 15-20 years ago.
It’s crazy that people compare a 41 year old to his former self and don’t recognize that he’s different now.
@burr9wfan He’s not a better scorer than MJ. Not arguing that. I never even got into the MJ debate. You keep bringing him up.
But he’s a much better scorer than Kobe. You can argue that Kobe took more mid range jumpers. And I’d argue that’s the worst shot in basketball.
@burr9wfan Let’s talk about TS% in 2013 since you want to talk about that szn.
Kobe’s was .570. Lebron was .640.
That was Kobe’s 3rd most efficient TS season. Lebron has had 5 seasons with lower efficiency than that. So one of Kobe’s most efficient seasons would be one of LeBron’s worst.
@burr9wfan And somehow he shoots over 50% from the field. It’s almost like he knows his midrange game isn’t elite so he goes to the paint or behind the arc. Crazy how that works.
@burr9wfan@cajunboijay Yup, he scored more points per game. Shooting 46% vs Bron’s 56%.
0.5 ppg more to be exact. All he had to do was shoot nearly 3 more shots a game to do it.
