During check-in at @Delta, a ground crew warned me about the sip valve. I haven’t flown with Delta for a couple of years because l was asked to remove my elastomeric masks that looked ‘valved’ to some flight attendants in the past. Well, I boarded without any issues today.

That's because people haven't learned.

If they had learned that Covid is serious - severe - they would want to use protections.

We don't call them "restrictions".

Covid increases the risk of stroke & heart attack.

On the radio today, the host said that she will wear a mask on a crowded train.

She said that she would take the mask off if people left the train so it was no longer crowded.

That tells us that she has not learned that Covid is airborne.

This doesn’t make much sense to my colleagues, or my students.

This is because they haven't learned about Covid.

They don't know what it can do.

Or maybe they do, but they don't feel comfortable talking about it.
