@farrowmr not sure it’s the sight of wanting bigger/better things. I’m returning to work - my son is 9 months old. I earn more than my partner. If I stayed home then our mortgage wouldn’t be paid, there wouldn’t be food on the table… a case of making ends meet not buying a bigger house…

This is bloody ridiculous. We are about to get our 5th Secretary of State for Education in a year! How can schools get anything done against this constant flip-flopping. Educational policy should be set by a separate body that outlasts these constant changes in leadership🤬

Came across a local authority in the Midlands this week who offer teachers 26 weeks of 100% full pay on maternity leave ... if they can pay this why can't all schools?! Some London LAs pay the same. Certainly a reason not to feel guilty claiming a few extra weeks pay via SPL!
