When Mottram beat Bekele in the 3km the World Cup in 7.32, not many would think another Aussie would come along and beat the national record by 4 seconds. Congrats Stewey Mac! Also to @melbtrackclub for coaching both these great runners.

All in a day for a week workouts.
Spreading out each session would be better than all together in a workout.
The biggest change I'm noticing with training/racing as I age, isn't the speed, but the adaptation to speed takes longer. It used to take two workouts at race pace and I was good to go, but now it's more like 4-6 weeks...But it does come around eventually.
Moh Ahmed runs huge 12:47.20 pb to become the 10th-fastest human in history for 5,000 meters. 3:58.59 final 1600.
Lopez Lomong also PRs with a 12:58.78 to become the ninth American under 13:00.
I've been training with @masonferlic for the past month, and the man has found some incredible form. Taking a month off while in peak shape seems to have hd far less impact on fitness than the normal month off at the end of a long season.

Really excited to announce that I have joined the Tracksmith team! I can’t wait to represent the brand as I pursue my running career, and I am also taking on the role of NYC Community Manager. Learn more about my decision in the link in my bio!

Tips for staying motivated if your team practices have been cancelled:
1. Get away from the track for workouts--Fartleks, and hill intervals are your friend
2. Mix it up with hard strides in the middle of your runs
3. Vary the pace if your runs a lot. Some slow, some fast...
