@sysxplore Linux sucks.
... and I say that as a long-time Linux user and distribution developer with multiple distros.
But you know what sucks more? Not having the power -- nor the control -- to actually be able to change the things you don't like in the computing environment you use.
@scooby630@fosgoodwood@lance_stroll Alonso commissioned some changes to an Aston Martin Valour, and Aston Martin thought the end product was so good that they decided to do a small production run of it.
It is literally THE Alonso-spec Aston Martin.

9-time Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen takes the beautiful Ferrari 250 SWB for a slide around the #GoodwoodRevival circuit. An incredible combination. Chef's kiss.
Tom Kristensen, take a bow! Unbelievable car control in the 1961 #Ferrari 250 GT SWB. How on earth he's not lost this in these soaking wet conditions, we'll never know. That's probably why he's a 9-time Le Mans winner. #GoodwoodRevival
@christitustech So ... you're saying that the growth of your winutil project sort of implies that there's a pent up demand for a non-enshittified Windows 10/11 experience if I'm reading the implications of this correctly...?
Doesn't this (also) imply that the Windows Store has sort of failed?
@BrodieOnLinux I tend to think of it as describing where the trend is going?
In that light, enshittification implies "has gotten notably worse and will continue to get worse", whereas engoodification is "has gotten notably better and will continue to get better" I guess?
@VargaTrance@GienekNagi@itsfoss@Serpent_OS Have you ever used Solus?
If you have, how does its current state (after being revived by Ikey, myself and the rest of the remaining OG Solus gang last year) compare to its previous state?
Are you aware that Ikey is helping Solus with the transition to Serpent tooling?
Bunch of pieces landed last night. Blsforme now detects ESP via BLP vars, falls back to gpt-local ESP if root partition on GPT, and added XBOOTLDR partition discovery.
Moss: conflicts support.
Enhanced deterministic runtime for boulder, and RUSTFLAGS support.
@RadinaCNN @CNN The correct term is the Social Democratic party, not the Socialist Democratic party FWIW.

Please update the article. Thanks.
I appreciate that a primarily US readership might have difficulties understanding the distinction of course.
@Dostoevskyquot ... an excellent example of judging a book by its cover?
Is it possible that getting so upset about someone's else's favourite book that one leaves a date is not as much a sign of a discerning mind, but rather ones own inability to accept differences of opinion and taste?
*: if you are not on a Gigabit internet connection.
All this is in preparation for helping and enabling @ikey_doherty to bring up a baremetal Serpent OS install w/GNOME that he can begin using as a daily driver from an external USB drive.
Exciting times ahead!
1/2: Spent some time over the weekend improving how we create ISOs in @Serpent_OS and ended up being able to bring down ISO generation times from ~4m40s to ~1m10s on an older AMD Zen+ generation system.
TL;DR we've now reached a point where download times will dominate*
