@dan7heman@JoeSmith817638@chompersch Dive in! As @JoeSmith817638 has said, they've changed the recipe.
There's a weird idea that we all really want to drink filtered coffee.
The muddy sludge is the result of their efforts to make instant taste like filtered.
But they're 2 different methods for 2 different tastes.
Back in 2017, Nescafé changed the formula to its instant coffee. This resulted in an awful taste and what can only be described as a foul muddy residue in the bottom of the cup.
Clearly, the idiot behind this didn't appreciate the unique delicacies of instant coffee. 1/
@JoeSmith817638@chompersch See, Douwe Egberts would definitely be my next choice. The worry is that it's owned by the same company that owns Kenco - JDE Peet's N.V.
And I think the problem has only started since that firm was recently bought by Keurig Dr Pepper.
Oh, what a tangled web we weave ...
@chompersch Nescafe and Kenco ended up going down the same route and micro grinding the beans. That process leaves some very fine particles that can't be dissolved.
They think this is a premium product. 😬
Look for 100% Arabica or 100% Soluble Coffee.
I don't think it's irrational at all. We often overlook just how dangerous stairs are.
I've known two people die, far too young, from falling down stairs in their respective homes.
filter coffee then that's what I'd buy.
Now on the lookout for another decent freeze dried coffee that's refreshing, clean in the cup, and has a nice rich taste.
And definitely isn't trying to be something that it isn't. Filter & instant are two very different products. / 🤬😁
The idiot must have, eventually, been sacked and then went to work for Kenco.
Because they've just gone and done the same damn thing.
Totally buggered up their coffee with the same awful taste and the same muddy residue left in the cup.
If I wanted the taste and the crap of /3
