Juneteenth is both a remembrance and, particularly this year, a reminder that the journey toward true equality and justice is far from over. The millions of people across the country demanding change have brought new hope to a very old fight. We must keep pushing.
It's almost as though, whether it be George Floyd or others who have died from coronavirus that should not have died, almost in a spiritual way, when they breathed their last breath, their breath came in us, and now we have work to do.
