Trust is earned.
One of the biggest mistakes leaders make is assuming their title or past buys them trust. It doesn't.
Trust is always earned. As an NFL GM told me, "Your past success gives you a tiny amount of time and grace. But that's about it. You always have to earn it."
Extremely difficult news out of Rio Rancho HS:
Athletic director Sal Gonzales has lost his battle with cancer. Sal died Monday afternoon.
Not unexpected, but still, a complete gut punch. Sal was a terrific guy, and this will cut deep through the RRHS community.
It’s about how you combine & organize all of the ingredients. Plus the human side.
That’s why we (coaches) can ALWAYS get better at this thing.
No one has it figured out.
"I'm not going to be shy about my goals. I'm not afraid to fail."
Introducing Project 222 – Kerr and Brooks' plan for him to run a 3:42 mile and break the world record at the London Diamond League in July.

My daughter made it into DII Nationals!! She’ll be running the mile!!
First time she has made it in track, indoor or outdoor. She’s having her best season yet as a 3rd year junior. So proud of her! 💕
The goal is not to feel confident all the time.
The goal is not to eliminate doubt.
The goal is to be able to do what matters even when doubt is present.
You can feel anxious and still perform at your best.
You can feel scared and still step into the arena.
You can feel like an imposter and still do the work.
Your feelings don't have to dictate your actions.
