Let's make #Cleanliness a policy, not just a procedure.
Right now, the system is just about cleaning up the mess. We need a policy that prevents the mess in the 1st place.
Here’s how:
1. Hold Contractors Accountable: If the cleaning staff isn't doing their job, there should be a clear way to guide them, retrain them, or ultimately, replace them. Performance must matter.
2. Strict & Enforced Fines: There should be a simple and strict procedure for issuing fines to anyone who litters or spits, and the rules should be clearly displayed everywhere.
3. More 'Submit Trash' Points: We need many more trash bins and a clear system for passengers to dispose of waste responsibly at stations and on platforms.
4. Monitor with Cameras: Install cameras near trash bins and common littering spots to identify and fine those who break the rules.

It's time to shift from just cleaning up to actively stopping the problem. What other ideas do you have?

Why is @MumbaiPolice allowing external agency guards to check driving license and other vehicle documents on road?

These Security force employees (MSB) hired by police are indulging in checking driving licenses and other documents of vehicle owners.

Today, my friend was stopped by a police constable and the MSB staff standing with him asked for driving license, then went on to ask for PUC and Insurance. After all verification, they moved on to catch other bikers.
This was at Malad SV road.

1. No law was broken for the police to stop and ask for documents.
2. How and why is @MumbaiPolice allowing these guards to check bike documents while their 'Saheb' sit in the Jeep with ACs on.
More important, whats the motive behind police officers ranked below a sub-inspectior checking the vehicle documents?

This is not the first time, last week, the driver of the auto rickshaw i was travelling in was stopped near Dahisar toll plaza by these security force people (MSB) and checked documents.

Most of the auto drivers do not know that they are not police officers and the intimidating body language of these guards make drivers fall prey to paying them money.

Last month, a cab driver was stopped at IC Colony link road at night and these MSB employees checked the driving license and other documents of the cab owners.

The usual targets are bikes, autos and cab drivers. Sometimes small tempos too.

@MumbaiPolice @CPMumbaiPolice please calrify. Are the MSB force employees authorised to check for vehicle documents? If yes, please share notification.
