If you hold EU or any other western country and you’re not registered in the current country you are in - as a resident (you aren’t able to renew your passport)

Ex: French citizen must be registered as a resident of Turkey in order to renew his French passport at the Consulate in Ankara.

If you’re in New Zealand for 2-3 months, you gotta leave back to turkey for the renewal appointment.

Totallly kills the point of freedom to have so many paperwork responsibilities that you’re always planning how to renew redundantly.
