Hey @gkittle46, a future @49ers tight end here? What do you think of his form!? Haha. Holding the ball tight and checks back for defender halfway through. My son is still one but loves running with his football.

Sat across the aisle from 2 #whitesox scouts in West Sacramento on Friday night as they watched #astros Hunter Brown pitch well. The scouts were in a good mood. Maybe they noticed something that night as Chicago jumped all over Brown today. #mlb

@russortiz48 @SJGiants @hallofgoodpod @VTG_Bubble_Gum 154 Ks! Wow!

[Russ Edmondson @RussEdmondson]

@nut_history #sfgiants fan. Tough one. New York era had 5 HOFers who were Giants only: Carl Hubbell, Mel Ott, Bill Terry, Ross Youngs & Travis Jackson. Posey probably best of SF era for Giants only. Think I would go Ott overall & Posey in SF era. #mlb

@bosummers28 I would say some positive stuff from JHL

@WrigleyWinds Announcer said on first fly ball to shallow left (From Acuna) - "maybe on another night that gets to the warning track". So is wind now blowing in from left field?

[Russ Edmondson @RussEdmondson]

@ChrisBiderman Very sorry to hear it Chris

3/3 … He isn’t done in this business I’m sure and will still do amazing things somewhere else - but this is still outrageous. Shit. @SacBee_JoeD

[Russ Edmondson @RussEdmondson]

This one shocked me. It’s Joe D for crying out loud. I’m like that little teary-eyed kid in ‘Eight Men Out’ - “Say it ain’t so Joe. Say it ain’t so.” Joe is simply the best. What he has done for the Sac Bee and this community over the decades is just beyond words … 1/3

Tough day
After 38 years at The Sacramento Bee, I was part of sweeping company layoffs.
My last day is Oct. 9.
I love my job & my role in the community. I thank coaches, athletes, media & especially readers & followers.
I’m not done working.
I’m excited about what’s next.

[Russ Edmondson @RussEdmondson]

2/3 … In my sports writing days I got to work alongside Joe D many times and there is no one like him. He is multiple reporters in one. There is so much love and respect and admiration for Joe in this region. This was not how you should let Joe D’s remarkable Bee run end. … 2/3

[Russ Edmondson @RussEdmondson]

@SacBee_JoeD Very sorry to hear it Joe. You are the absolute best. I’m blown away.

[Russ Edmondson @RussEdmondson]

@PhilAPerry What did Vrabel say to you after presser today?

[Russ Edmondson @RussEdmondson]

@miranzburdps 46

[Russ Edmondson @RussEdmondson]

@waitmaya 31 (1 more than double)

[Russ Edmondson @RussEdmondson]

@CraigMish Hey Craig, you think Agustin Ramirez will get another shot with the big club soon? On trade block this week?

[Russ Edmondson @RussEdmondson]

@WrigleyWinds Dansby going deep today

[Russ Edmondson @RussEdmondson]

@eventgal49 @KNBR It's crazy that they don't have it live

[Russ Edmondson @RussEdmondson]

@CloserMonkey With Palencia down, who do you think has best shot of being Cubs' 9th inning guy now?

[Russ Edmondson @RussEdmondson]

@CloserMonkey haha. Thanks

[Russ Edmondson @RussEdmondson]

@CloserMonkey How do you view current Rockies closing situation? Mejia even still in mix?

[Russ Edmondson @RussEdmondson]

@CraigMish Was thinking same. So much talent. Wonder if Ramirez is on trade block

[Russ Edmondson @RussEdmondson]

@CraigMish Hi Craig, when do you think Augustin Ramirez may return?
