@MXisintos@JohnCleese I wonder why the Ukrainians might have disliked the Russians in WW2. Maybe it had something to do with the 4 million that died in the Holodomor during the 30s. Nazis probably seemed the better bet when your between a rock and a hard place. The Finns came to the same conclusions.

@angelamurphy99@afneil You implied rivers had got worse since Thatcher and yet you admit they have improved. Monitoring of CSO’s didn’t begin until 2015 so quantity of sewage flowing into rivers wasn’t known.
@JacX1413254@afneil The point is we can’t predict where the threat will come from in the future. 30 years ago we thought Russian menace was over. Who knows what will happen with China over Taiwan. We have to be prepared.
