@Phunkin_El I’ve got an 11 month old son, turns 1 next month. I have 1k set aside for a JISA as some form of nest egg for when he’s older. Any advice on what’s best to do or any other thoughts. The money sits in my account currently so not committed yet. Thanks.
@JackRobinson80 Very similar here. I’d cut it if the forecast had anything drastic showing, it looks a dry few days so Sunday/Monday will be the plan. If it was a big area I’d be in it now though.
@Ed_Farmer_Ford @NFUtweets@ceresrural He hasn’t got the excuse for not wearing one he used to have. Now he’s a racing snake! Yes so he says. Give it time, he’ll be back!
@theladyfarmer@bencm305@middleditchfms Decent tenure or lack of is what keeps the handbrake on. Recent rent review here and the FBT has been agreed on a 6 year term. sounds good to some I’m sure, however the previous agreement was 15yrs. Doesn’t seem like progress for the landlord or myself in the long term.
@xbrandybx@russbmckenzie@essexwindyfarm@Markmid1 SB has been the main crop here for the last 4 years. Not managing to plant a thing in autumn 2019 made spring 2020 such an eye opener as to what you can do with spring crops.
@BenAdamsAgri@russbmckenzie@essexwindyfarm@Markmid1 There’s no substitute for early establishment. Choosing land that will travel first is something I’ve factored in. I’ve grown Cochise for the last 3 years and haven’t had any major issues. Selling to a home that has a colour sorter on site is something I’d do if I got a problem.
@FarmerJamesPA@Simondrury1 Couldn’t agree more. Last SP I sold had done liquid for years. I had to convince the buyer it had actually been on liquid as he didn’t believe me. Wash as soon as you’ve finished and it’s never a problem. Laziness causes the rust.
@essexwindyfarm@Markmid1@russbmckenzie Continuous SW here for 4 years on land that would have always historically been destined for a 1st ww when the rotation allowed. Without reliable OSR the margin on continues SW can’t be ignored. I just wish there was more varieties available. More seem to be coming however.
