This will probably be the last post for this account. I've loved showing everyone the things we've got up to. But the kids are nearly 16 and 21 and #blindmum has remarried. So please come over to @Cane_Mabel if you want to stay in touch. Peace ☮️
Thanks to Facebook, just found out it will be exactly 12 years between seeing @takethat with my eldest and seeing them again tomorrow with both children. Amazing!
FINALLY both Russell girls will see the REAL @takethat@BSTHydePark EXCITED DOES NOT COVER IT! Big thank you to #BlindMum for the early birthday present and Mark for being the taxi (and so much more).
Any chance of a shoutout for these 2 life long fans, Kira & Robin, who are coming to @takethat & @BSTHydePark to celebrate their 21st & 16th birthday? It would make it their greatest day! You are a BIG part of our journey. We could not have done it without you.🎉🎈
Although I believe the majority of people who say ‘you don’t look blind’ mean it as a compliment, I have yet to meet a blind person who appreciates it. I don’t like it. Don’t say it.
This car regularly parks on the pavement at all sorts of weird and wonderful angles, usually in the evening when my limited vision is much worse. Why???
Thank you to everyone @kentblind#Maidstone who came to @GuideDogs Mabel’s aid when I accidentally trapped her paw in a door😩 she escaped with a couple of small cuts and loved all the extra attention! Me, I was a blubbering mess!
A few days after my first #cataract operation And starting to get back to normal. My lovely hubby took me to the hairdressers and then Mabel and I walked from there to my happy place @TCE_Maidstone for #coffee
Day 3 post #cataract surgery. Depends on what I’m doing which eye I use, if I have my glasses on or off. Very interesting. Attempted to read a #devotional and had to use my bad eye no glasses! I get why. Frustrating though.
Day 2 after #cataract surgery. Both eyes feel a bit sore but nothing I haven’t experienced before. Periodically using both eyes with my normal glasses. Need to turn the brightness down on the telly!
