@DAVIDCARROLL3 It has to do with organizational development. Look at minor league box scores. Everyone is starting these days and being pulled at 80-90 pitches. Pitchers are throwers not pitchers. Your aces pitch as if it is an art form. That takes time and development. Some are coming.
@grantmcauley I said before the season that I thought Ozzie would at least have a 20/20 season. This team will push run and homerun records for the season.
@mlbbowman I am interested to see what Wentz can do as a starter. At the end of the year he impressed earlier in outings. Splits show the 2nd and 3rd innings were his rough time. Batting average against ballooned around 45 pitches. But, it’s important to remember he was a reliever all year
@mlbbowman I have heard GMs and ownership state that the interview process tells you a lot about your program. The candidates many times tell you their perception of your team, which allows a self-assessment of sorts with an outsiders view. Also, gives you an insight into ways to improve.
@FalcoholicKevin Not really sure what was going on behind closed doors , but I suspect there is more there considering that the wide receivers and quarterback were not on the same page it seemed and communication issues were very obvious. Seems like they spotted an issue and addressed it.
@TheFalconsWire I think it fits for both. Wait until after June 1. Also, I am sure that Pittsburgh would have a contract that they would like to unload that Atlanta could take on that would lessen the cap hit ramifications for the Steelers.
@SportsTalkATL Correct. But have to also create the 26-man spot and you don’t want to send Lee or Hernandez down. Also, do not want to lose De Los Santos, Blewett, or Montero, all of whom would land with other teams for sure.
@JustinCToscano Sucks for Minter. I have read all of the criticisms of AA for not spending the “small” amount of money it would have taken to resign Minter. I highly doubt this injury was a concern, but with the hip issue last year, and concerns from previous years it was a big risk.
@mlbbowman From what video that I could find, it didn’t appear that Snit was in the dugout when Kelenic went down the first baseline or came back into the dugout after getting out.
@DOrlandoAJC It’s easy to sit at home and criticize any aspect of the game, but watching the play on the pick in the end zone, it didn’t appear that Pitts ran the route at full speed or he ran the route different than Cousins had called. That’s just the at home view for me.
