Russell introduced the new Concern Rwanda Country Director, Mr. Yvan Trapet who will serve both Rwanda & Burundi, with residence in Burundi.
Famine has already been declared in parts of #Sudan. “Famine means that children are already dying in large numbers,” Concern CEO David Regan told a @Dochasnetwork briefing today.
Concern’s staff report that the health of children reporting to clinics is deteriorating rapidly.
Just 40% of humanitarian funding required has been provided to date. Increased funding from donors is needed.
