@PEPChasDrDave Re: the delay in uploading the latest podcast. It's patently obvious that after being spooked by the Media Watch exposé Chas has taken the serious bank he's made from the PEP merch and has fled to Spain ala Christopher Skase...
@gigsyoumissed I went! It was great! The band had to stop during the first song because the audience was so enthusiastic and jumping on stage! Incredibly energetic show. They were on fire.
@Rob62263@JohnBarronUSA@Redistrict@ABCTV This is the ABC we're talking about. 'Planet America' can't even afford a real fireplace, let alone a trip to the Promised Land. :)
@thedarkness No 'Bald'? No 'Sarah O'Sarah'? No 'Wheels of the Machine'? No 'It's Love Jim'?
Sorry, but as the great Hall & Oates said: I Can't Go for That. 🙂
@pgodfreysmith@anewdemocracy@roweafr@FinancialReview I seem to recall Dutton defending Bill Leak's cartoon that depicted Same Sex Marriage advocates as jackbooted Nazis (which also came under fire from Jewish leaders). What's the difference here, then?
@pgodfreysmith@anewdemocracy@roweafr@FinancialReview The 'No' campaign has been called out because it was/is divisive and misrepresentative. Rowe's work does what cartoonists usually do: fight hyperbole with hyperbole. 'No' blocked all efforts to engage the centre through reasoned, principled argument. This is the result.
@thedarkness Why do promoters think a 'Spinal Tap' cover band on the bill would be fine for a 'Darkness' show? 'The Darkness' aren't some Brit joke version of 'Steel Panther': they're a legitimately progressive, creative outfit with a genuine voice. Love 'Spinal Tap', but this is just lame.
@mrtonymartin IN BREAKING NEWS, the 'No' campaign has breathlessly announced it will be using (former AFL player) Mark 'Jacko' Jackson's timeless classic "I'm an Individual" to spearhead their campaign:

@Michelle2404240 @marzephyr12@s_deery This has got to be one of the most pig-ignorant responses I've ever read on Twitter. We know you're just a mindless right-wing troll, but claiming Werner won 'by a landslide' when Labor didn't even run a candidate is utterly delusional.
On point then, I guess...
@SquigglyRick So typical. In the same vein, Keith Wolahan is receiving positive press today for his Robodebt remarks - even as he "emphasised the importance of encouraging people to get jobs and limiting welfare spending..."
We all know what that means. These people have no shame whatsoever.
@markhumphries Thank you for this, Mark. Articles, advertisements, TV shows and a million other cultural markers such as this gleefully encourage the selling of my future out from underneath me. That I'll never own a home is now increasingly sold to me as just the natural order of things...
@belinduhpyne Never underestimate the venality of the average Australian. The housing crisis is a telling barometer of how little the majority care for the welfare of their fellow Australians; Shorten's promise to end negative gearing was all they needed to vote for the Coalition.
@colonelhogans@sarahinthesen8 The problem is that even calling out the idiocy is part of the far-right playbook: in refuting utter stupidity, one still has to go about doing so on the public record, thereby fuelling the circulation of idiocy further whilst attempting to combat it.
@StephenMerchant Intelligent people know that 'The Office' will ALWAYS be the product of Gervais & Merchant, but it pisses me right off when I hear Gervais introduced everywhere as 'Creator of The Office'. And, let's be honest: Ricky doesn't do enough to clarify things when that happens.
@Swampyagain @strangerous10 I'll feel like that when the (admittedly unlikely) sight of Morrison in handcuffs is plastered across the Australian media... ;)
