A country where Maraga is arrested whereas Didmus Barasa is free is a failed nation. A nation where crooks like Duale are walking scot free whilst destroying our health system. But law abiding citizens like Maraga are arrested. What have we turned into!
Mathari Referral Hospital has reportedly lost over 82,000 patients and admissions because a critical machine broke down, according to BD.
I followed up and established that the machine in question is mainly a CT Scanner.
The shocking part?
A refurbished 16-slice CT Scanner suitable for a public referral hospital costs roughly KSh 12 million to KSh 45 million.
A brand-new one costs about KSh 60 million.
Now put that into perspective.
It was previously revealed that Deputy President Kindiki's helicopter travel costs taxpayers over KSh 1 million a day.
Thirty days of helicopter flights could buy a CT Scanner.
President Ruto's trip to Azerbaijan reportedly cost taxpayers over KSh 200 million through the use of a chartered aircraft.
That amount alone could buy several CT Scanners and still leave money to spare.
So when patients are turned away because a hospital lacks a functioning machine, let's stop pretending Kenya is broke.
The problem is not a lack of money.
The problem is priorities.
Why should leaders fly helicopters between destinations connected by road?
Why should a President insist on expensive chartered aircraft when leaders in other countries routinely use commercial flights?
Meanwhile, a national referral hospital cannot replace a machine that patients depend on for diagnosis and treatment.
Kenyans are paying more taxes than ever before.
They deserve functioning hospitals before luxury travel.
Remember this whenever they tell you there is no money. As well, this is why this govt must go.
@kenyan_oxygen@blackk_mojo@_fels1 Imagine such kind of low IQ being broadly broadcast, people have no shame. Haoni hiyo gari inaeza roll igonge innocent road users..
@kamauwaruhiu From a potential stepson you became a painful reminder of what could have been, dreams of a possible soft life turned into nightmares! She saw white dust!
I don’t think many Kenyans have fully realized it yet, but we are living through one of the darkest periods in our nation's history. A time that arguably rivals only the British colonial era.
Mr president , the sovereign power belongs to the people .
Whatever you do while in position of authority, your decision stops at public participation.
Once the citizens reject something whom are you governing it with ?
Close that Ebola facility immediately.
It is not a request . Citizens are demanding .
Kenya needs a renaissance!
Gachagua is working for Ruto. Just check what her mouth piece Njeri Maina said about Ruto's impeachment and you will understand. Wanashida wakisema Wantam Wantam but tukiwashow impeach that maniac that's where they draw the line. Wajinga waliisha Kenya 😂😂.
@Hon_Njeri_Maina What do you mean the speaker plays ball? What happened to the principle of the minority having their say even if the majority will have their way? We want to know you guys better even if we already know you are a bunch of sissies..
On this impeachment business Kenyans have the opportunity to draw the line with their MPs.
These people have really taken us for a ride instead of doing real representation..
What struck me most about William Ruto's Madaraka Day speech wasn't what he said.
It was how small he made the occasion feel.
Madaraka Day is supposed to be bigger than any government, bigger than any region, bigger than any political agenda.
It's a day for reflecting on where Kenya is and where it's headed.
Yet after listening to the speech, you would struggle to identify a single bold national vision, a major economic breakthrough, or a compelling reason for struggling Kenyans to feel optimistic.
The speech sounded less like a President addressing a nation and more like a politician searching for achievements. A complete failure
