Can 2nd this. Just want to say as far as our involvement goes, allowing bias to fly in anything we’re associated with is bad for business. We have 0 to gain by being biased. It’s so counter productive.
Mendo’s involvement throughout has been pragmatic and any input from Mendo has always been in good faith.
If it wasn’t, we’d have immediately said something, ceased involvement ourselves, or otherwise (as it’s literally our business to be unbiased). This has not happened, because bias has not been involved with Mendo.
I can truly say Mendo has purely been volunteering his time by just trying to help all the creators on the server. He’s been heavily involved in scheming the prizepool distribution with Trainwrecks interests in mind to make sure as many creators in the server gets a piece of the pie!
It’s a shame to see his time neglected in a public light. So much so I’m replying to this tweet and even giving my 2 cents. Everyone will say it’s a bad idea even replying, but I cannot let the efforts of Mendo be painted in a bad light after all he’s done for everyone on the server behind the scenes.
Please lets all just move on and remember what this server’s about. Good times, memories, content, and allowing new faces to Rust to have fun with amazing personalities.
What a journey, this whole gamemode was made in 6 days. This perspective is all that we hoped for - seeing every stage of the cinematics. The ICBM, the nuke fx (thanks to Rust merging), + the shock wave where even tree leaves vanish etc!
