Yesterday I embarked on a 10k winter walk to raise money for the Whittington Hospital Courtyard Garden. It turned out a lovely sunny(but chilly) walk in London!
We’re also showcasing the brilliant art of our service users with learning disabilities to acknowledge Learning Disability Week.
This exhibition is taking place at the Whittington Education Centre (on Highgate Hill - opposite Dominos!)

For #LDWeek, we are hosting the free LIVING WITH exhibition, 4th Floor, Whittington Hospital, with 12 stunning portraits of children, siblings and friends from @WaveForChange Muswell Hill.
Make sure you don’t miss it!

@WhitHealth well done to Tisenia Alombro for organising whats going to be a fanstastic week raising awareness for dementia and not forgetting the dementia sensory garden!
Our negative assumptions about people with Down syndrome can lead us to treat them in such a way that these assumptions become reality. In sociology, this is called a ‘self-fulfilling prophecy’. Why not reverse our perspectives?

@CllrScottFarley@LloydsBank Do we know the plans for the site, living on the service road behind it, would like to see something done to deter the drug dealing that happens behind it from getting worse once it is empty.
@JonathanBeebee As an RNLD with a PGC in ASD im so conflicted, as a staunch ali of neurodivergent people I see them being failed & it pains me. However, if we spread ourselves to thin we risk failing people with LD more than they already are. I believe the role has evolved and should continue…
