A quick reminder from @BenLesh & @CoderinHeels that RxJS Live! Asia is happening on April 30th! For details & tickets, go to https://t.co/Bi9wKkes48
It's aligned with the release of #RxJS 7!
There'll be a talk on #React+RxJS, too, don't miss it! #webdev#frontend#javascript
The remaining organizers want to do our part to prevent any future damage from happening. You can expect an update from us very soon, after our formal team meeting this afternoon.
This morning the original RxJS Live team became aware of some bad acting in the JS Community, which bad acting was done by former organizers of RxJS Live. We are preparing a more official statement currently. We will be shutting down all future RxJS Live events/comms/etc.
A quick reminder that RxJS Live is an independent team, completely unassociated with the RxJS team. We love the RxJS team, and we love the tech that they build, but we are not them. The damage being disclosed currently was not done by the core RxJS team or it's organizers.
That's a wrap for this RxJS workshop by @BenLesh! He, of course, wowed the participants (@Michael_Hladky being the #1 fan! 😀)
Thanks Ben and thanks for donating your profits to TechGirlSummit (to be launched when we're back with in-person events) & @TECHKNOWDay scholarships!
Angular Rocks was one of our community partners during the recent @RXJSLive Asia. Check out what they are up to down under (hello Australia)! Use code NGROCKSGE for an AUD40 discount!
Check out this workshop (starting next week, so hurry!) put together by @kuncevic of #AngularRocks podcast. More info here ➡️https://t.co/jp1lktXIIS. Suitable for different levels, with direct support from Aliaksei Kuncevic who is a @GoogleDevExpert on #Angular.
@Michael_Hladky@BenLesh Ha ha! Michael did express a lot of "Wow, good to know!" during Ben's workshop 😄
For those who are not in this training with us, and want to find out more about #RxJS 7, catch @BenLesh's talk about it at @RxJSlive Asia here ➡️ https://t.co/jvh8K5hIdE
On to Day 2!
#RxJS 7.3.0 has been published!
New features:
+ `tap` has subscribe, unsubscribe, and finalize handlers.
+ `retry` has a configurable delay that can be used for things like exponential step back.
@heart_of_steel@BenLesh 😀 We're very happy to see a lot of you at @rxjslive Asia! For those who missed it, the recording is here https://t.co/NZXlsNcLqa. 4K+ views already. Feel free to share over there Hoang!
Also, Ben's next training is this Thu/Fri. Details here https://t.co/q6iKDGInKA #rxjs
#RxJS 7.2.0 has been published.
All operators may now be imported "rxjs"! Anything with a clashing name has been deprecated for quite some time and renamed (e.g. `mergeWith` instead of `merge` operator)

I've recently drunk the reactive programming kool aid.
Imperative, stateful code is fundamentally unfit for async, event-driven apps.
I think the Angular crew have it right bringing #RxJS into their ecosystem.
